CIUDAD D´EIVISSA- INTERNATIONAL RUGBY TOURNAMENT 2010

Our international 15 a side tournament is to be played on Saturday 15th of May.
The format of the competition is 6 teams, being drawn into 2 groups of  3 teams. They will play matches of  30 mins (15 mins each way), 2pts for a win, 1pt for a draw. The tournament is played in group format (groups A & B), with the winner of group A playing the winner of group B in the final and group A & B runners-up playing for 3rd place. The maximum number of games played per team will be 3.
The first 5 deposits recieved from teams will enter, as this competiton is very popular as an end of season tour.

Teams confirmed so far are Monmouth RFC (Wales), Old Maraboes Asociation (Holland), Gernika (Spanish Basque Country) and Ibiza of course!

JUNIOR RUGBY INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT 2010 UNDER 16 LEVEL

On the 22nd of May 2010, Ibiza Sports Tours are holding Ibiza´s first ever international junior rugby tournament, 15 a side and under 16s. In association with the local council, we are aiming to give rugby a great push at grass roots level and there is no better way of doing this than bringing in teams from rugby established nations.

This will be a 4 team event (3 international teams plus Ibiza) at under 16 level with Abercwmboi RFC from Wales already showing interest.

Ibiza Club de Rugby (Ibiza C.R.) together with Ibizasportstours.com invite you to join us in our first Beach Rugby Tournament June 11,12, & 13 June 2010.

Beach rugby is a growing sport across Europe and Ibiza has the perfect setting to host this fun but competitive event.
The tournament will be held on Ibiza’s famous Playa d’en Bossa. The package is totally inclusive with 3 nights at the famous Playa d’en Bossa **** Hotel, with food, drinks, accommodation all included. Inclusive in this package also is your entrance fee to the competition.
Ibiza C.R.´s Beach Rugby Festival 2010 will take place over 3 days and culminate in a festival finale on Sunday evening at the Opening Party of Space, proud sponsors of Ibiza Club de Rugby. Open to a total 16 teams from the UK, Spain, Italy, France and Portugal, teams will play in 4 pools with the top two in each pool progressing to the Cup “play offs” and the bottom 2 progressing to the Plate “play offs”. The “play offs” will be a knockout format with quarter, semi final and final games and a 3rd and 4th runners up game before the final.

Beach rugby is the perfect out of season event. It is competitive, fun and will be refereed by experienced qualified Society referees from the UK.
